Join me on a journey to take control of your health and live a happier, healthier life!

These days most people are busy, overwhelmed, and seeking some sort of elusive work-life balance. It’s hard to find the time and energy to prioritise health. The internet confuses things, making it hard to find out what you should be doing to maintain health and prevent illness, let alone actually managing to implement it.

I can assist you in reducing stress by changing the way you think, helping you develop good habits, and create a healthier life. I can help you build skills to become more resilient, prioritise self-care, and reduce burnout.

“The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts.”

DSC_6427 (2)I am a fully qualified and registered doctor in Tasmania, Australia, and my passion is empowering people to improve their physical and mental health through lifestyle changes. I enjoy helping busy overwhelmed people manage and reduce stress to live healthier, happier lives. It gives me great pleasure when I see the sense of accomplishment people feel when they achieve that first step towards their health goals.

I have been fascinated by the human body since a young age, particularly the brain. My favourite subject at college was psychology, and in book shops I would find myself gravitating towards the self-help section. My personal challenges with trying to ‘do it all’ have taught me a lot about myself, and about the common experiences of many of us.

My job has exposed me to many people who suffer from anxiety and depression, or are feeling completely depleted and burnt-out. They have spent years feeling overwhelmed and struggling to manage their lives, with self-care frequently not even on their radar. I see people who are overweight and have diabetes and heart disease, and I learn later that they have been overeating in response to stress for the last 30 years. I frequently wish that I had seen these people five or ten years earlier, when we may have been able to reduce these problems with simple lifestyle and mindset changes.

I help people to look after themselves, early, and as part of normal daily life. I work with people to build resilience, teaching skills to cope better with the challenges we all inevitably face in life. I provide actionable advice based on medical practices and solid research. We all need to protect and prioritise both our physical and mental health. Let’s take this journey together!
